The 42” X30 Mini Excavator Brush Cutter has two motor packages. Make sure you choose a X30 XBC motor/model compatible with your excavator’s auxiliary flow rate.
- XBC42-25 is compatible with excavators with an auxiliary flow rate of 15-25 gallons per minute (GPM).
- XBC42-28 is compatible with excavators with an auxiliary flow rate of 22-28 GPM.
The overlap range of 22-25 GPM allows you to choose either motor option for 40% higher speed (model XBC42-25) or 40% higher torque (model XBC42-28) depending on the application. Generally, higher blade tip speed will result in cleaner cuts and will cut grass and lighter vegetation more efficiently. Choose the high torque option to power through thicker vegetation or small trees. The increased torque will help prevent stalling and make the job easier.
The 48” X30 Mini Excavator Brush Cutter has four motor packages.
- XBC48-22 is compatible with excavators with an auxiliary flow rate of 15-22 GPM.
- XBC48-28 is compatible with excavators with an auxiliary flow rate of 22-28 GPM.
- XBC48-35 is compatible with excavators with an auxiliary flow rate of 28-35 GPM.
- XBC48-38 is compatible with excavators with an auxiliary flow rate of 35-38 GPM.
Not to be confused with the total flow rate of the excavator pumps, the auxiliary hydraulic flow is the flow rate output down the boom and arm to the primary hydraulic circuit which powers the attachment.
NOTE: Virnig motors can’t handle hydraulic overflow. Using attachments at higher than recommended flow rates can cause the seals or motor to fail and put extra stress on the bearing spindle.
