Safe, fast and efficient for elevated work
The 540h Maxi Elevating Work Platform has all the features and benefits common to the full range of Hydralada models. With more than 40 years’ experience manufacturing self propelled elevating work platforms, Hydralada machines are renown for their unique design, using sound engineering practices to produce machines that meet the industry standards and are safe, reliable and efficient to operate.
Hands free for productivity
Unique three-pedal foot controls in platform floor operate each independent wheel drive so that it turns on the spot and lifts simultaneously, hands free.
Powered by high-torque petrol engine
Kohler petrol engines are reliable, powerful and fuel efficient, with low noise and vibration levels. They’ve been powering Hydralada since 1975.
Powerful hydraulic wheel drives
High-torque hydraulic drives with 1.5″ axles power the six stud water-filled wheels. Failsafe Hydrabrake system automatically applies when machine stops.

Hydraulic Oil Outlets
Hydraulic auxiliary plug in the platform to take hydraulic tools, i.e. impact wrench, high speed drill, pole tampers and concrete cutters. Delivers 20lpm @ 2000psi.
Free Wheel Hubs
Free Wheel Hubs (FWH) allow drive wheels to be disengaged and the machine can be towed on its own wheels at low speed (Max. 30kph) behind a vehicle. In NZ, no registration is required to tow on the highway. Includes heavy duty ball hitch drawbar.
Tool Boxes
Front and rear mounted tool boxes can be fitted to the operator’s platform to carry accessories. Constructed of heavy duty steel with sturdy mounts, these allow the operator to have tools available.
Tandem Four Wheel Drive
Tandem Drive increases traction and stability with four driving wheels mounted on a heavy duty walking beam. Including the Hydrabrake system, there is virtually nowhere you can’t drive a Tandem Drive machine. Ideal for unprepared building sites.
Hydraulic Impact Drill
This powerful impact drill runs from the hydraulic outlets located in the platform. Fast, efficient and low maintenance.
Flashing Beacon
A flashing beacon mounted on the tail of the EWP ensures the machine is visible when operating in populated areas, public areas or street environments.
